Quartz watch requires battery. The battery may have pollution issues and the electronic charge may get old and broken, so the life of the movement is shorter. Meanwhile, it’s also lighter and thinner.

Japan movement is cheaper than Swiss movement. Although the precision and durability are not as good as Swiss movement, the functionality is still good.

The definition of Swiss movement is assembled in Switzerland and examined in Switzerland. If only the movement is made from Switzerland, the word “Swiss” would be on the parts of the movement and you can only put “swiss movement” on the dial.
